Western Australia

The largest state of Australia covers a
third of the country. The size of Western Australia is
approximately five times the size of Texas,
USA.
The capital, Perth, with a Mediterranean
climate, has an average of eight hours sunshine per
day. Winters are mild, but summers may get extremely hot – well
above 40°C.
If you drive north or east, you will
experience the Outback and the fabulous colours of the red
pindan.
Distance from larger
cities:
Across the country - Perth to Sydney -
approximately 4,110 km.
Perth to Adelaide - approximately 2,104
km.
Perth to Darwin - approximately 4,400
km.
As soon as you drive a couple of hours
north or east of Perth, you will see the isolation
and if you drive longer - the Outback.
Drive south and you will find lots of
small towns. This is the part of Western Australia
where it's more densely populated than the rest of the
state.
